This resource, developed by the National Center for Cultural Competence at Georgetown University, provides comprehensive guidance for family organizations serving children and youth with mental health, special healthcare needs, and disabilities to conduct organizational self-assessments of their cultural and linguistic competence. Emphasizing a strengths-based, inclusive process that meaningfully involves families, youth, community stakeholders, and allies, the guide aims to help family organizations identify areas of strength and growth, enhance service quality for culturally diverse communities, and promote equity while eliminating disparities in access and outcomes.
