March 2025: LEND Class with Donna and Ricardo Thornton
Georgetown’s GULEND and GULEND+ programs provide interdisciplinary training in early intervention and neurodevelopmental disabilities. Both are funded through a grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, Maternal and Child Health Bureau, 6 T73MC42023‐01‐01 (2021-2026).
Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities

Duration: 9 months
This interdisciplinary training program prepares graduate students, professionals, family members, and self-advocates to deliver family-centered, inclusive care for individuals with developmental disabilities, advocate for equitable policies, and assume leadership roles. Training integrates interdisciplinary approaches, disability studies, research, and service provision to support diverse communities and promote inclusion across the lifespan.
Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Plus (GULEND+)

Duration: 9 months
This training program expands on the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) by integrating the GU Certificate in Early Intervention. Designed for interdisciplinary service providers, it advances skills in early intervention, autism spectrum disorder, and developmental disabilities, combining LEND training with specialized coursework and practical experience in early childhood intervention.
