This self-assessment checklist, developed by the National Center for Cultural Competence at Georgetown University, is designed for staff of residential behavioral health programs serving children, youth, and their families to evaluate the extent to which their programs demonstrate cultural diversity and cultural and linguistic competence. The comprehensive tool covers four key domains: physical environment and resources, communication and linguistic competence, program practices that support cultural competence, and program values and worldview. The checklist serves as an initial step in a broader organizational assessment process, helping programs identify strengths and areas for growth.
