Cultural and Linguistic Competence Family Organization Assessment Instrument

The Cultural and Linguistic Competence Family Organization Assessment Instrument (CLCFOA) is a comprehensive self-assessment tool developed by Georgetown University’s National Center for Cultural Competence specifically for family organizations serving children and youth with behavioral-emotional disorders, special health care needs, and disabilities. This systematic evaluation instrument helps organizations examine their cultural and linguistic competency across four key dimensions: “Our World View” (organizational philosophy and values), “Who We Are” (staff diversity and training), “What We Do” (core functions like education, advocacy, and peer support), and “How We Work” (structural elements and community engagement).
