Program Timeline

Custom Approach

The Hub customizes its acceleration engagements to maximize impact for each innovator, adjusting the program based on specific needs. What follows is a general framework.

Innovators are onboarded, matched with a Hub coach, introduced to resources, and undergo a two-week sprint to identify their biggest opportunity area.

The first week includes three days of in-person programming at the Thrive Center at Georgetown University.

Most startups and nonprofits come to the program to solve one of two types of challenges:

  • Validation and Model Development: Innovators work with their Hub Coach and Lead Mentors to determine the best path and partners to validate the impact of their interventions. Based on validated impact, assistance is provided in developing a sustainable business model to drive scale, including exploring DTC, reimbursement and public funding mechanisms.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy and Scaling: With guidance from their Hub Coach and Lead Mentors, innovators will develop or update their go-to-market plan and drive a test-and-learn approach to scale engagement and adoption across key stakeholders. Based on the plan, The Hub will introduce innovators to potential customers and partners.

Innovators assess progress with the Hub team, iterate on models and strategies based on feedback, develop a post-graduation plan to accelerate their impact, and prepare to present at the impact fair.

The Hub Impact Fair is an interactive event where innovators demonstrate their innovations to stakeholders. Participants spend three days onsite at Georgetown University for preparation and participation.

Innovators receive ongoing support, including resources, mentorship, and networking. Office hours continue year-round, and innovators are encouraged to stay active in the Hub’s community.
