Child and Adolescent Clinical Psychology Doctoral and Social Work Training Program
Offered to advanced doctoral students (rising 3rd year or above), this externship includes 3 tracks: Outpatient Mental Health, School-Based Mental Health, and Health Psychology/Adult Mental Health. Trainees gain diagnostic and psychotherapy experience with children, families, and educators in clinics, schools, and medical settings, emphasizing culturally humble, healing-informed care.
The MedStar Health—Georgetown University Hospital Fellowship Program in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
Duration: 2 years
Description: The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital aims to train critically conscious, family-centered, structurally competent, community-oriented, and culturally humble child and adolescent psychiatrist leaders, clinicians, and healers. The curriculum emphasizes innovative, evidence-based teaching methods, focusing on preventing and alleviating youth mental health problems, promoting positive mental health, and building health equity through holistic, family-centered, community-based, and culturally attuned care.
Fulbright Research Lectureship in Education
The National Italian American Foundation (NIAF), Georgetown University, and Fulbright offer the Fulbright-NIAF-Georgetown University Research Lectureship in Education at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. The program supports an Italian elementary/middle school teacher or university lecturer/researcher with interests in early childhood intervention, teaching methodologies, and disabilities.
