Michael Rovaris

Michael is a highly skilled and dynamic educator, facilitator, trainer and consultant with over 25 years’ experience working at the national, international, state and local levels of government and nonprofit organizations on interagency integration, managing collaborative change processes and community development.

Michael has had the privilege of working in a variety of roles –social worker, therapist, professor, program director, site monitor, trainer/consultant and parent. Through all of these roles I have demonstrated my ability to manage a wide range of projects with multi-disciplinary professionals from health, mental health, military, government and business.

Over the course of my varied career I have:

• Conducted trainings and consultation in over 40 states and 5 countries

• Conducted trainings on over 20 military installations

• Provided paid consultation to the producers of Sesame Street

• Coordinated, conducted and wrote site visit reports for the Substance Abuse

and Mental Health Services Authority (SAMHSA)

• Directed federally funded cooperative agreements over $10,000,000.00

• Provided consultation for the Colorado State Supreme Court on Families

• Directed the mental health response to community disasters

• Appeared on over 100 local and national newscast as a subject expert

• Provided mental health support and consultation to police and prison staffs

• Produced and directed educational videos

• Recognized for excellence in service by the LSU Health Sciences Center
